Recommendations of the P1ay Area and Skate park committee as

the meeting on Monday the 12th of March did not have a quorum

Matters arising from the 29th Jan 07 minutes. The proposed cricket nets would be on Tennis Club land and not near the play area so there is no problem for safety

Work: repairs and Inspection reports

G.B. Sport and Leisure Inspection report had only one high risk on its report and that involved the Timber Swing which has been removed as part of the new Swing area at Winscombe. The mesh on the frame barrier on the Wickstead Swings at Sandford bas been repaired as highlighted in the Zurich report

Youth Shelter

We have received 2 quotes for the base of the youth shelter and are going to ask Ford Brothers for the third quote

The youth shelter should be replaced in the same position as the last one

We have had no confirmation yet on the payout from the insurance from the 1ast youth shelter.

WMRG children’s play area

a) The Wickstead swings were accidentally removed by the contractors and so the swings will be replaced free of charge in the same position and will have 4 flat seats ( as the infants will have swings in the new swing park. This site is convenient for grass cutting and a suitable distance from the infant swings

b) Sponsorship. A plaque could be put up acknowledging the sponsors which include; Yansec~ North Somerset Strawberry Line Heritage Trail~ Sidcot School and The Police Community Trust A separate request specifically for the Kyle Shelter with a photograph could possibly be put up now.

c) ~Opening Ceremony with press . the sponsors and the children from the local nursery on

30th of March at ten o’clock. The play area should be easily finished by then.
