A meeting of the Award Land Committee was held on

Monday 23^rd November 2009, at 7.30 p.m, The Amesbury Room, Winscombe Community Centre

Committee Members Present:        Mrs P Bushnell (PB), Mrs P Cram (PC),Mr A Forbes (AF),

Mrs V McGann (VM)

Advisor to the Committee:              Mr J Cornish

In the absence of Mr J Westlake, the Chairman  it was unanimously agreed that Mr A Forbes

would take the Chair..

1.      To Receive Apologies for Absence:

Mr G Luckett (GLu).

2        Update of the minutes of the last meeting, already signed at main Parish Council meeting as being a

correct record.

There were none other than those included as Agenda Items.

3.       Declaration of Interest – None received

4.       Public Participation: an opportunity for members of the parish to make a statement - None

5.      To authorise Bills for Payment:

         (a)           To remove stone boulder on Award Land.

         Proposed:         Mrs V McGann                                  Seconded:     Mrs P Cram

         All in Favour

(b) Purchase of sleeper to repair bench on Award Land.

Proposed:         Mrs V McGann                                  Seconded:     Mrs P Bushnell

6.       Risk Assessment Review – Award Land

At the meeting of the Award Land dated 5^th October 2009 it was decided that some of the points raised on the Risk Assessment (#11713 dated 2^nd October 2009) were not relevant to the Award Land and should be removed following further discussion with Health & Safety Advisor.  A revised Risk Assessment (#11713b dated 2^nd November 2009) together with a covering letter from the Health & Safety Advisor was handed to all committee members.  After a brief discussion and taking into account advice from the Clerk to the Parish Council, Assistant Clerk to the Parish Council and the Health and Safety Advisor it was unanimously agreed that the Risk Assessment (#11713 dated 2^nd October 2009 ) be accepted.
