A meeting of the Award Land Committee was held on

Monday 5th October 2009,  at 7.00 p.m, The Amesbury Room, Winscombe Community Centre

 

 

Committee Members Present:        Mrs. A Brading (ABr), Mrs P Bushnell (PB), Mr A Forbes (AF),

Mr G Luckett (GLu),  Mr. J Westlake (chairman)

1.      To Receive Apologies for Absence:

          Mrs P Cram (PC), Mr R Jones (RJ) Mrs V McGann (VM).

2        Update of the minutes of the last meeting, already signed at main Parish Council meeting as being a

correct record.

There were none other than those included as Agenda Items.

3.       Declaration of Interest – None received

4.       Public Participation: an opportunity for members of the parish to make a statement - None

5.      Financial Update – A detailed statement showing actual expenditure against budget for the financial year  

         2009/10 was handed to all committee members.                  

6.       Land Registration Update

          GLu waiting upon confirmation of one Global Positioning System reference point from RJ in order to finish transfer of information onto an OS map.

          Various legal documents at the Parish Office relating to the Award Land have been forwarded to the Land Registry for initial land registry enquiry purposes.

7.       To discuss up to date position on repairs to The Old Forge

          Contractor has now completed relevant health & safety forms.  JW will contact him for the start date.

8.       Risk Assessment Review – Award Land

          A risk assessment for the Award Land has been carried out and a copy of the report has been handed out to councillors.  After a brief discussion it was decided that some of the points were not relevant to the Award Land and should be removed following further discussion with Health & Safety Advisor.

9.       Precept request 2010/11

          A request for £1200 will be submitted to the Parish Council together with a detailed breakdown.

10..      Information – other points of information or subjects for discussion at next meeting –

Tree Forestry Commission management plan – to discuss action taken regarding trees & general tidying up of brash on a regular basis.  Quotations to be obtained.
