4.      Matters arising from previous minutes. The Barbed wire has been removed by Stan Ellis and the seat has been repaired by Stan Ellis. Mr. C Ballard has apologised and confirmed that the trees that had been cut down were indeed dead elms

5.      Public Participation – none

6.      Stone Move - works progress report       3 requests for quotations have been sent out but only one received so

far from Steve Bailey; he has been used in the past and has the right equipment for moving the stone. His quote is £400 plus vat. We have had oral information that a grant for £2000 for the plaque is available and hopefully the £400 could be included. We are awaiting written confirmation of the grant

7.      Forestry Commission - possible grant funding L Rampton contacted Bill Ayres (previously from the Forestry

Commission) and on the 12th July A. Forbes , G. Luckett and J. Westlake had a meeting with him. He will apply for a grant for a Management Plan costing £300 and the grant should be available next year. Briefly he suggested that the top wood which is on the original hill needs attention but the wood below Mike's Path is growing on the slag heap and should be left largely as the roots will hold the hill and is a good area for bird nesting. However the view from the seats should be maintained. He also suggested that the works could be tied in with educational projects from Goblin Combe. Mr Ayres will also be providing a Management plan for High Action.

8.      Any Other Business. John Westlake will need volunteers to help control traffic on the bridleway when the stone is being moved. The Health and Safety Officer to be contacted. John will be providing the awning for the Parish display during the Michaelmas Fair in September
